Child orthodontics
At Moonz Dental Clinics we are qualified in orthodontic treatment for children. (between the ages of six and twelve). Thus, we are able to detect, prevent and correct any problem that affects the maxillary bones as well as the position of the teeth.
First visit to the Orthodontist
In line with the recommendation provided by the most important orthodontic societies of the world, we recommend the first visit to the orthodontist occur at age six. This way we can diagnose and treat any irregularities at an early age.
Interceptive orthodontics and orthopaedic treatments
These treatments are based on the use of a series of appliances that are fitted on the patient at about age five or six. They are used to guide and correct maxillary bone growth (upper jaw and lower jaw), which is essential prior to aligning the teeth.
Orthodontics in two phases
This is a treatment that is administered during two essential phases of dental development: at around age six (when orthopaedic and interceptive appliances are fitted to correct bones) and at about age twelve (when braces or clear aligners are fitted to improve the position of the teeth).
Braces for kids
Around age twelve, when the maxillary bones have developed properly, is the best time to fit braces. Braces are the most common orthodontic treatment used to align children’s teeth.
Clear braces for kids
Clear aligners are another type of treatment that allows improving the position of the teeth. They are much more aesthetic than braces, which is why they are directed at children who would prefer their braces go unnoticed.
